Changing Calvin and Hobbes

The students have been looking at a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that does not have any words. We focussed on what was happening in the pictures and discussed 'if it did have words what would it say?'. After viewing the story, the children were challenged to change the ending using their imagination. How could it end differently? Does Calvin's desk turn into something else?
