Feelings can be messy…Kimochis can help!
The Prep neighbourhood have been learning about the Kimochis. Each character was introduced and they learnt about their different
personalities and why use them at school.

Last week the children participated in a Kimochi workshop focusing on bravery. We read "Bug makes a splash", a story focusing on the character Bug. He finds change
and new experiences a bit scary. Bug learns to be brave and overcomes his fear of flying and water.
This week the Preps have learnt about Cloud, who can be a bit unpredictable at times, going from happy one minute to mad the next. We read his story "Clouds best worst day ever". We discussed that it is ok to be frustrated if things don't go your way but it is important to take a deep breath and accept it move on without upsetting others. Lovey Dove gave some advice to Cloud "It is ok to be mad but it is not ok to be mean." Cloud learnt to apologise for his actions that hurt his friends feelings.
